Challenge 19 - Anything but Square

Time certainly is flying, the night's are getting darker and hopefully, we're all getting more time for crafting.  Our last challenge seemed popular and hopefully this will continue with our current theme.

This month we have a new sponsor to introduce, Pixie Dust Studios.  Please pop over and take a look at the fab digis they sell and also, have a go at our challenge where you can possibly win 2 digis of your choice.

Pixie Dust Studio is a land, full of fairies, trolls, Glitter Bugs, Royal Frogs and MORE..look out, you might find everything you ever wanted or something that you did not even know you were looking for! The STUDIO is full of creative and fun digital stamps created by illustrator Kathy Fronczak.

We were lucky enough to get some images to play with.  Here's some of the designs that our team came up with for your inspiration:

Fly with me 2011

Aren't they just fabulous!!  Hopefully you're all raring to go.  Our theme is 'Anything but Square' so we want to see lots of shaped cards and fancy folds.  Here's some rules:

1.  Your card must be new for this challenge (no backlinking to older posts).
2. Your card must follow the theme set.
3. Your card must be for a boy/man.

The challenge will run until 12 midnight BST (British Summer Time) 25th September 2011.  Leave a link to your card (not just your blog) in the link list below.  If it's not there for some reason, leave a comment and I'll add it in before the draw.  Good luck!

Challenge 18 - G is for ....

Well it looks like it's time for another challenge.  What a success the 'Anything Goes' challenge has been (nearly 300 entries as I schedule).  The current challenge is sponsored by the fabulous Letraset.

ProMarkers are made by Letraset and are a twin tipped, dye based alcohol marker offering a high quality product at a great price. Avilable in 148 colours, they give incredible tonal range and can be applied to a diverse range of materials, not just paper and card. ProMarkers produce vivid, bright colours right through to the subtlest pastel shades - the translucent inks can also be overlaid and blended, even further extending the range of shades and hues on offer. ProMarker's quality nibs and inks provide flawless colour lay down with consistent coverage and no unsightly streaking.

I'm scheduling this from my holidays and I only just realised that I haven't checked the prize but I'm sure it'll be wonderful.  I'll update the post as soon as I can but don't think I'll have internet access for a few days.

The current challenge was set by our team mate, Alex, who is currently taking time out to move house.  It's a nice open challenge so no excuses for anyone.  Here are the ideas that we came up with, hope you like them:

Donna
(G is for GOOOAAAL!)

Alison
G is for guitar.
(The sentiment I have used is a freebie on my blog)

Sarah
G is for Green

G is for Garden Shed

G is for Guitar

G is for Grow

Grow where you are planted

Because I'm scheduling this in advance, not everyone's cards are ready but there's a list of the Design Team's blogs at the top right.  Please take a look at the rest.

So there you have it, now for some rules:

1.  Your card must be new for this challenge.
2.  The card must follow the theme set.
3.  The card must be for a man/boy

The challenge runs until 12 midnight (British Summer Time) on 11 September 2011.  Enter you card in the list below, or leave a comment if it's unavailable.

Challenge 15 - Use a key

Another challenge here at Cards for Men Times fly by in a hurry.

The theme this time is "Use a key"... so get those key's out and use them on a card. Our sponsor this time is Prairie Fairy. Go and have a look - you will probably find some fab stamps :)

Website: www.prairiefairydesigns.com/cart/home.php
Prize: 5 digis of your choice
Blurb: Hello! I am Roberta from Prairie Fairy Designs. I am a new digital stamp company featuring artwork not only created by me but also my two kids, ages 9 and 12. They are featured on the site as the Fairy Princess and the Prairie Prince.

I have been an artist for as long as I can remember and have always loved to create. Two years ago my sister-in-law invited me to a rubber stamp party. I laughed and said "Maybe I will buy something if I can use it to stamp on canvases.". Needless to say, I was hooked! Two years later and a lot of learning about computers, I have finally accomplished my goal.

While digital stamping is relatively new in the papercrafting scene, it is what I believe to be such an amazing tool. Printed images have such clarity and vibrancy and gone is the need to re stamp an image because you didn't press hard enough or maybe you pressed too hard! They are also a lot easier to store and they can be reprinted over and over again. The fact that you can rotate and flip files, print them off the size of a postage stamp or as large as a scrapbook page makes them such a versatile medium. It is my sincere hope that I can help anyone who has hesitations about using digital images to embrace these amazing creative tools. If you have any questions about going digital, check out the site and the blog for more information. So head on over to http://www.prairiefairydesigns.com/ and check it out!

Roberta kindly sent us some images to play with and here's what we came up with:

Alison
(I am offering the sentiment used for this card as a freebie on my blog)
